Sam Shapiro joined DFJ Growth in 2019 and has been actively involved with the firm’s investments in Alchemy, Armis, Dutchie, Innovium, Outreach, and Stripe. Sam was previously a product manager and chief of staff at Homebase, a software company helping local businesses manage hourly work. He also worked with TPG Capital, where he focused on growth and later-stage investing in technology sectors. Sam was actively involved in TPG’s investments in Airbnb, Zscaler, and Domo.
Sam has an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. He also earned a BA in economics from Stanford, where he was a Mayfield Fellow and played club basketball and baseball.
