Will Morrison

Will Morrison joined DFJ Growth as a principal in 2024 with a passion for investing in cutting-edge technologies and founders pioneering the future. Will brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of finance, technology, and innovation.

Before joining the firm, Will was a principal at In-Q-Tel, the strategic venture capital fund that accelerates the delivery of innovative technologies to the CIA and other US intelligence and defense agencies. Will led investments and held board positions in early and growth stage companies in cybersecurity, machine learning, compute infrastructure, and aerospace and defense.

Will previously worked on Goldman Sachs’ technology investment banking team where he advised on M&A and debt and equity capital markets for deep tech and enterprise software clients including SpaceX, Palantir, and Rivian.

Prior to Goldman, Will worked as a Columbia Three Cairns Climate Fellow at Bill Gates’ venture capital fund Breakthrough Energy Ventures and across upstream, refining, and chemicals businesses at ExxonMobil.

Will graduated with distinction with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned an MBA with Dean’s Honors from Columbia Business School. While in school, Will researched heterogeneous catalyst design in partnership with Virent and published academic research on hydrolysis in partnership with the University of Minnesota Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering.
