Chris Shanahan
Principal
Chris Shanahan is a principal on the investment team at DFJ Growth. His areas of focus include companies building at the intersection of hardware and software—including defensetech, autonomy, energy, robotics, & smart systems—as well as companies innovating in lifetech.
Chris served as a DFJ Growth Fellow embedded at portfolio company Neuralink working on special projects across a range of functional areas in 2022.
Prior to joining DFJ Growth in February 2018, Chris was an analyst at Greenhill & Co., where he focused on mergers and acquisitions across a range of industries. He previously held roles in research and development engineering at Boston’s Scientific’s neuromodulation division and Johnson & Johnson’s Acclarent division.
Chris has a bachelor of science with honors in biomedical engineering from Cal Poly.
